EMDR Intensives and Extended Sessions
Just as a marathon pushes your body to its limits, intensives and extended sessions challenge your brain to process and heal at an accelerated pace.
Why Choose Intensive Treatment?
The traditional model of weekly psychotherapy is shifting to meet the needs of those with demanding careers. For high achiever and those in stressful positions, time is precious.
The intensive format allows you to:
-Make significant progress in less overall time
-Minimize disruption to your professional life
-Address deeply rooted issues more effectively
-Experience faster relief from symptoms impacting your performance
-Develop robust coping stratigies for high-pressue environments
EMDR intensives support the busy parent with kids, the working professional who has even more on their plate than they can handle, or the client who needs help now. Whatever the reason that the traditional model of therapy just won’t work for you, EMDR intensives are available to support you during these times, when you need help the most.
I offer EMDR intensives for my current clients when they are needing extra support, as well as new clients who prefer to work intensively.
EMDR is not just for trauma; it is also used for performance enhancement to excel in areas such as athletics, business, and relationships.
You’ve heard of Disney’s Fastpass, right? Think of it like that. EMDR intensives are personalized treatment plans that allow you to skip the waitlist by giving you faster access to select spots, and are designed to support your preferred schedule and timeline for your treatment goals. Essentially you get to “skip the line” while others wait months to see progress.
What My Clients Have Experienced After Treatment:
Alright, let's cut to the chase. Here's what clients I've worked with have experienced:
Mental Clarity Like Never Before: Imagine your brain firing on all cylinders, making complex problems feel like a game of checkers. That's what we're talking about.
Sleep That Actually Recharges You: No more tossing and turning, stressing about work. You'll be sleeping like a rock and waking up ready to conquer the day.
Physical Performance Boost: Headaches? Gone. Gut issues? History. Immune system? Bulletproof. Your body becomes a well-oiled machine again.
Rekindled Fire for Your Work and Relationships: That passion that got you to the top? It's back, baby. And your personal life? Let's just say you'll be bringing your A-game both in and out of the office.
Breaking Free from the Perfectionism Trap: You'll still be a high achiever, but without the constant self-criticism. It's like taking off a 100-pound vest you didn't know you were wearing.
My client’s have worked hard and learned to prioritize their needs without feeling soft. They've mastered the art of strategic rest and self-care, treating it like part of their training regimen. Because it is, self-care is a lifestyle. So, if you're feeling like you're constantly battling uphill with no end in sight, it might be time to regroup and restrategize. Your future, more badass self is waiting. Let's get after it.

FAQs
-
For intensive clients coming from farther away, or those just hoping to decompress after their session, I encourage and recommend an overnight stay. But don’t worry- this doesn’t add more stuff to your plate, I take care of the hotel booking, provide a welcome basket, and other extras.
-
Absolutely not! An Intensive isn’t about more hours of reprocessing, it is about taking our time, orienting to the process, grounding, and of course reprocessing. EMDR isn’t just about those reprocessing phases, it’s about the whole model.
-
This really depends. Most of the time providers who are looking to work adjunctively with an EMDR provider. Some clinician refer their current client’s to me if there is a specific block, or lack of movement in therapy. This doesn’t mena you’re not doing great work- just means we may need to come at it from another angle. In some instances I provide a roadmap so you as the ongoing provider are fully up to speed on any progress or new insights.
-
Yes! I am so glad you have a wonderful theraputic relationship with your ongoing provider. It isn’t my goal to take you way from them. Most of my clients come and participate in an intensive or two and return to their ongoing providers.
-
Yes- the workbook is yours.. you’ll receive the download and be able to work on it at your own pace before the intensive, through the intensive process, and after. This is also a great thing to take back to your ongoing provider to continue your healing journey.
Extended sessions

Extended Sessions offer a middle ground between traditional therapy and intensives, providing longer, more comprehensive appointments.
Advantages of Extended Sessions:
- Dive deeper into complex issues without feeling rushed
- Maintain momentum in your healing journey
- Ideal for perfectionists who need extra time to process

- Effective for addressing work-related stress, burnout, and relationship challenges
Extended Sessions last 90-120 minutes, offering ample time for you to explore, process, and implement the effective strategies you’ve been looking for.
Our approach combines EMDR with cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, somatic body based work, and performance psychology to deliver comprehensive, tailored treatment.
Don't let your busy schedule or time constraints hinder your personal growth and professional success.
Intensives and extended sessions are not for everyone and a thorough assessment of a potential client’s readiness for intensive work is provided in an intake session conducted prior to scheduling.
